Sharjah24: The Education, Culture, Youth and Media Affairs Committee of the Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) visited the Educational Center for the Arabic language of the Gulf States in Sharjah at its headquarters in the University City and was briefed on the most prominent works and achievements of the Center over the past period.
The committee became acquainted with what it aims at in developing the teaching and learning of the Arabic language on distinguished educational, scientific and professional bases, while adopting the best technical means and adhering to international quality standards.
The committee’s delegation received by Dr. Issa Saleh Al Hammadi, Director of the Educational Center for the Arabic Language for the Gulf States in Sharjah, and his assistants from the center’s staff.
At the beginning of the visit, His Excellency Dr. Hamid Al Suwaiji Al Zaabi, Chairman of the Committee, conveyed the greetings of the Chairman of the Council and members, praising their efforts and organising many conferences aimed at reviewing the developments of Arabic language education.
The council’s delegation toured the center’s building, which included the library and the definition of its departments and the permanent exhibition of the Arabic language. The most prominent publications of the center in the field of Arabic language were viewed and a group of studies, research and projects on which the center is based.
During the joint meeting, ways to enhance cooperation and coordinate joint efforts to serve SCC and the Educational Center for the Arabic language of the Gulf states were discussed during which Dr. Issa Al Hammadi gave an integrated explanation of the center's various efforts and strategy in developing Arabic language teaching, reviewing the center’s achievements, including the latest achievements and the latest publications in the field of Arabic language.
At the end of the visit, Dr. Issa Al-Hammadi presented the center’s shield to the SCC, in appreciation of the council’s role, represented by the committee, in communicating with the center and promoting its work.
