SDPW implements Suhaila Suburb Council building

Sharjah24: The Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW) has completed the final construction works for the Suhaila Suburb Council building in Al Bateen neighborhood in Kalba city, in implementation of the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to serve citizens and enhance the level of services provided by the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs.
Commenting on this, Engineer Ali bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW), stressed the importance of building the suburban councils in cooperation with the Department of Suburbs and Villages Affairs, adding that it embodies the policy of the Sharjah government and reflects the SDPW’s development plan.

He explained that the councils provide the appropriate environment for the members of the community, contributing in strengthening the bonds of social cohesion among the people, through hosting various activities that highlight the need of the people of the suburbs.

Engineer Mohammed Bin Yarouf, Director of the Department of Branches at the Department reviewed the facilities of the Suhaila Suburb Council building, shedding light on its main services provided. 

For her part, Eng. Bashayer Al-Mansouri, Director of the Kalba Branch, confirmed that the department is working on a number of suburban councils in the city of Kalba, most notably the Al-Saff Suburb Council, with a completion rate of 68% and Al-Bardi Suburb Council, whose completion rate is 30%. She emphasisied that Suburb councils come as part of the grants of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, aiming to strengthening the bonds of social cohesion among the people.
