Sharjah24: The Sharjah Education Council (SEC) has launched, within the framework of the integration of its educational visions, to enhance educational materials directed to the elderly category with the beginning of the current academic year 2020-2021.
The initiative has educational dimensions, as it introduces advanced educational curricula for the elderly stage in one of the proactive initiatives of the Sharjah Education Council, which aims to provide a number of study materials for the target group, which is the elderly of the age group over twenty years.
The advanced educational materials, which include three subjects, Arabic language, sports and social skills, will lead to the achievement of the Council's strategy in enhancing the quality of educational materials and achieving educational sustainability.
The curricula are distinguished for being specifically designed for the target group at three different levels, as they were composed by a group of academics and educators with experience in preparing curricula.
These curricula were adopted by the University of Sharjah, and these subjects support the cognitive, skill and social needs of learners, and respond to their interests through the acquisition of basic skills.
His Excellency Dr. Saeed Musabah Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Sharjah Education Council, explained the importance of these new educational publications, which converge with the learning system orientations in presenting curricula of content value and design splendor in its three subjects.
His Excellency Mohammed Al Mulla, Secretary-General of the Sharjah Education Council stressed that these educational materials provide female students with the necessary skills to learn through the application of modern educational tools, and all means that guarantee them access to high-quality educational opportunities.
