Sharjah24: In exclusive statements to "Sharjah 24", Engineer Khalid Omar Al Naqbi, Director of the Center, stressed the center was established in 2009 with the visions and directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, being based in the city of Khor Fakkan as its headquarters, emphasising that the Centre witnessed a quantum leap in its work during 2020.
The Sharjah Contact Centre of the Sharjah Government Media Bureau continues its efforts to inform the public about the nature of its services and activities provided by government departments in the various regions of the emirate.

Al Naqbi explained that the Center has made a quantum leap in its work outputs during 2020, despite the repercussions of the Corona pandemic, lauding its remote work system and mechanism during the crisis.

Al-Naqbi pointed out that the Center has a 100% citizen cadre, praising the Centre’s most advanced used technologies that are recognised in its system.

According to Al-Naqbi’s statements, the Center has 11 contact centres belonging to several government departments, emphasizing that the Centre provides 11 thousand services.

Regarding the work outputs during the past year 2020, Al-Naqbi revealed that the Center had received about 110,000 calls through thephone number 80080000, a toll-free line, from several registered dealers who inquired about the services and activities of government departments, events and tourism facilities, and other general inquiries.

According to the Center's Director, the Sharjah Contact Centre responded last year to 200 promotional requests for government services, events, projects and initiatives, in addition to sending more than 600,000 introductory and awareness text messages to the public, and about 660,000 emails in the same context, and contributed to the publication of about 58,000 text messages to support a campaign on corona.
