Sharjah 24: Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, in the presence of Sheikh Abdullah bin Salem bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated Tuesday morning, at the office of His Highness the Ruler, the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority’s Production Truck, the first of its kind in the UAE and the wider Gulf region.

Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi listened to a detailed explanation about the specifications of the high-definition mobile production vehicle, which is equipped with the latest modern technologies, IP 4K operating systems and sound and image mixing systems used in television transmission. The truck also contains 8 cameras with the latest technology with the possibility of adding 4 more cameras.



With a length of 12 metres and a width of 2.5 metres, the truck can expand on both sides to reach a width of 4 metres. The truck includes two rooms for sound recording and a montage unit, in addition to an advanced air conditioning systems according to the highest standards and specifications that are compatible with the weather conditions in the Gulf region.


Sharjah Crown Prince praised the keenness of the SBA to present the constructive media message with the latest modern means and technologies, hailing the Authority’s employees for their relentless and constant efforts to keep pace with the latest developments in modern technology at world level.



Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Council, thanked Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, for his great support to the SBA and all its activities in order to achieve its desired goals in providing a meaningful and distinguished media message.

The inauguration was attended by Sheikh Khalid bin Abdullah Al Qasimi, Chairman of Seaports and Customs Authority; Sheikh Salem bin Abdulrahman Al Qasimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Ruler's Office; Sheikh Fahim bin Sultan bin Khalid Al Qasimi, Chairman of Sharjah's Department of Government Relations; and Mohammed Khalaf, Director General of the Sharjah Broadcasting Authority (SBA).

The inauguration was also attended by directors of television and radio channels and a number of engineers and technicians at SBA.
