SCM, SEDD sign a memorandum of understanding

Sharjah24: The Sharjah City Municipality (SCM) signed a memorandum of understanding with the Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), to enhance cooperation between the two parties, aiming to strengthen the connectivity between them to support the digital transformation in the emirate, and to provide the best services to customers.
The signing of the agreement was attended by His Excellency Thabet Salem Al Tarifi, Director General of Sharjah Municipality, His Excellency Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi, Chairman of Sharjah Economic Development Department (SEDD), and a number of officials from both parties.

Al Tarifi affirmed that this agreement reflects the two parties ’keenness to extend bridges of cooperation between them, exchange different experiences and enhance electronic connectivity in a way that supports the emirate’s efforts in digital transformation in order to provide services with ease and to shorten procedures. He also stressed that the agreement will achieve many common goals through which the municipality, in cooperation with various government departments in the emirate, seeks to provide its services in digital form. 

For his part, Sultan Abdullah bin Hadda Al Suwaidi praised the constant communication between the two sides and the prominent role they play in serving society in general and economic and investment activity in particular, emphasising  that this agreement comes within the framework of the Department's keenness to support and develop the economic environment in the emirate to keep pace with the requirements of the current stage, and to use the latest digital technologies and electronic connectivity with all local and federal authorities.
