Sharjah 24: Sharjah Directorate of Public Works (SDPW), in cooperation with the Sharjah Sports Council (SSC), continues to implement development work and projects in Sharjah clubs, the Central Region and the Eastern Region, completing 90% of the development projects so far.
In this context, His Excellency Engineer Ali Saeed bin Shaheen Al Suwaidi, Chairman of SDPW, revealed that these works consisted of developmental maintenance work in addition to the development of lighting tower units in the main stadiums, which included 9 sports clubs in Sharjah, Al Hamriya, Al Dhaid, Mleiha, Al Madam, Kalba, Khorfakkan, Dibba Al Hisn, and Sharjah Equestrian Club.
His Excellency pointed out that SDPW is keen to follow up with construction, maintenance and development work in the Emirate's clubs, in cooperation with SSC, in order to ensure the excellence and high efficiency of the clubs.
His Excellency indicated that upgrading the Emirate's clubs to the highest level serves the administrative and technical work, and is a translation of the great support for the clubs in particular and the Emirate’s sports in general, with the aim of helping youth to practice sports, host local and international championships, and support sports tourism in Sharjah.
His Excellency praised great cooperation from the SCC and its efforts with regard to facilities and sports clubs, and its keenness to continue the workflow in the clubs as required.
