Sharjah 24: Sharjah Municipality (SM) revealed that there are 1,024 reserved parking lots in the city of Sharjah that contribute to organising the process of reserving parking lots, supporting the owners of establishments and preventing harm towards them.
In this context, SM confirmed its continued efforts in providing regular parking lots in the city of Sharjah, with periodic inspection to prevent their misuse.

Khalid bin Falah Al Suwaidi, Assistant Director General of the Customer Service Sector, stressed that SM provides parking reservation service for various establishments in order to facilitate services to customers according to a set of standards and requirements set by the Public Parking Department.

Al Suwaidi added that the inspection teams of the Public Parking Department organise continuous inspection campaigns to monitor the commercial or industrial establishments that reserve parking lots in front of them in an irregular manner.

Al Suwaidi continued that this comes through the closing the parking lot with plastic cones in a way that violates and distorts the general appearance of the city, upon which the establishments are warned for the first time, and in case of repetition, the establishment will receive a violation. Al Suwaidi maintained a parking lot is to be reserved, after visiting the Public Parking Department to obtain the necessary permits.

For his part, Ali Ahmed Abu Ghazin, Director of the Public Parking Department at SM, highlighted that the reserved parking lots in the city of Sharjah are 1,024 lots.

Abu Ghazin added that this contribute to organising the process of reserving parking spaces, supporting the owners of establishments and preventing harm and traffic, which come under the framework of supporting economic activities in the city of Sharjah.
