His Excellency Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of SPSA, attended the meeting along with His Excellency Khalifa Musabah Al Tunaiji, Chairman of SMAAD, and Colonel Sami Khamis Al Naqbi, Director General of SCD.

The meeting came with the joint interest of the concerned authorities in installing fire alarm systems for all residential homes. Such endeavour follows the wise leadership’s decision in this regard, which will be determined after conducting the needed study to achieve the supreme goal of protecting lives and property.

The Chairman of SPSA indicated the importance of joint coordination between the three entities to come up with a clear working mechanism.

SPSA’s Chairman stressed the importance of installing fire alarm systems in all residential homes in a way that guarantees the safety of its residents from fire hazards, and helps civil defence teams in dealing with such cases in short amount of time.

In turn, the Chairman of SMAAD praised the efforts made by SPSA and SCD towards the safety of the residents of the Emirate that led to a decrease in the incidence of fires compared to previous years and called for strengthening efforts to include residential homes in fire alarm systems and early warning system.
