Sharjah 24: The Department of Family Development Centre, an institution of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs in Sharjah, achieved at the end of its activities for the current year, a satisfaction rate of 96.59%, and a happiness index of 96.66%.
The comes within the activities and programmes of ‘Homeland is the Family’ campaign, which targeted 870 beneficiaries and aims to enhance awareness of the Emirati family to bear the responsibility of forming a cohesive and stable family, and to empower families and individuals and support them in raising a promising generation capable of facing challenges.

The department launched the campaign on February 17, 2020, with aim of spreading family awareness culture consistent with the UAE's vision 2021. The campaign is in line with the vision His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, and Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, Wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah and Chairperson of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs, in establishing the values of positivity, happiness and quality of life and promoting them in the UAE society.

Moudhi Al Shamsi, Head of the Department of Family Development Centres in Sharjah, expressed her happiness with the success of the campaign in achieving its goals, highlighting the solidarity of institutions with the campaign, which reached about 66 institutions. 

Al Shamsi added that the institutions contributed greatly to raising the efficiency of work and achieving the campaign's success, which will continue its plans aimed at strengthening family cohesion in 2021.

For her part, Hoda Boukafil, the general coordinator of the campaign, indicated that the programmes of the campaign dealt with four main axes, which included strengthening the values and culture that support family cohesion, empowering the humane personality and developing marital culture, and strengthening ties in the family. 

The general coordination of the campaign pointed out the implementation of about 30 programmes targeting about 7249 people. In addition to 39 programmes, encompassing the Kalba branch, Khorfakkan branch, and Dibba Al Hisn branch with a target number of 5502. While the Central Region branch implemented 10 programmes with a target number of 1806.
