Sharjah 24: Sharjah Documentation and Archive Authority (SDAA) has approved the private document management system for Sharjah Prevention and Safety Authority (SPSA).
The memorandum was signed by Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Chairman of SPSA, and His Excellency Salah Salim Al Mahmoud, Director General of SDAA.
The system aims to collect, preserve and organise the documents of SPSA, according to specific and approved classification plans between the two sides. This will be positively reflected in the ease, speed and accuracy of accessing the large number of documents, and thus raising productivity by saving time and effort of employees during their daily work.
It also aims to ensure that the archives and documents of SPSA are protected in accordance with the best international standards, from any factors that may expose them to damage, as they contain important and necessary information to monitor events, developments and initiatives adopted by SPSA. In addition to enhancing the human and technical capabilities of the Emirate to ensure the protection of society and the safety of life and property.
Sheikh Khalid bin Saqr Al Qasimi stated that such cooperation has many horizons, the most important of which is the existence of a central database for the government of Sharjah through which the achievements in the Emirate can be documented, along with conducing statistics and future research. The Chairman of SPSA added that this would also allow in preserving data and documents electronically, in line with the wise leadership vision of reaching a digital government without papers.
His Excellency Al Mahmoud expressed happiness, praising the tireless efforts of both sides during the past period that culminated in the signing of memorandum.
His Excellency stressed that SDAA will seek to achieve the best standards of documentation and archiving at the level of the government of the Emirate of Sharjah. His Excellency added that SDAA are continuing the adoption of such system with various government entities in the Emirate, due to its utmost importance in implementing a complete and comprehensive system for managing government documents according to the highest international standards.
