Sharjah 24: Sajaya Young Ladies of Sharjah (Sajaya), a subsidiary of the Rubu’ Qarn Foundation for Creating Leaders and Innovators, chose His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA) as ‘The Giving Person of the Year (2018–19), in honour of his contribution in supporting many joint activities organised by SCTDA in cooperation with Sajaya.
This came during an honouring ceremony organised by Sajaya remotely for more than 50 governmental and private entities and institutions, in appreciation of their role and efforts in supporting the events and programmes organised by Sajaya throughout the year in various fields.
The ceremony was attended by Sheikha Aisha Khalid Al Qasimi, Director of Sajaya Young Ladies, His Excellency Major General Saif Al Zari Al Shamsi, Commander-in-Chief of Sharjah Police, His Excellency Khalid Jassim Al Midfa, Chairman of Sharjah Commerce and Tourism Development Authority (SCTDA), His Excellency Issa Hilal Al Hazami, Chairman of Sharjah Sports Council, Engineer Fathi Afana, CEO of Fast Building Contracting Company, female members of Sajaya, and a number of journalists and media professionals.
In her speech to open the ceremony, Sheikha Aisha Al Qasimi stated that giving embodies the meaning of institutional cohesion and solidarity, which has always been highlighted in its importance by Her Highness Sheikha Jawaher Bint Mohammed Al Qasimi, wife of His Highness the Ruler of Sharjah, Chairperson of Rubu’ Qarn for creating future leaders and innovators, which made giving a culture that nurture the talents of girls, adding her thanks to all partners and parties participating in the ceremony for their great support.
In his turn, His Excellency Khalid Al Midfa thanked Sajaya for the initiative and for the honouring emphasising that Sajaya is always proactive in proposing development initiatives and projects that seek to provide everything that is in the interest to people of the UAE.
