Sharjah24: His Excellency Salem bin Ali Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Municipal Council (SMC), received a delegation from the Kalba Municipal Council headed by His Excellency Dr. Suleiman Abdullah Sulaiman Al Zaabi, Chairman of Kalba Municipality, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the municipal councils of the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah.
The meeting comes with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the municipal councils of the cities and regions of the Emirate of Sharjah, in implementation of the directives of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to enhance coordination between the municipal councils and promote discussion of common issues.
The meeting touched on a number of proposals that would enhance cooperation between municipal councils and other departments, such as organising periodic meetings between municipal councils and annual meetings with government departments with municipal councils.
Concluding the meeting, the went on a tour to visit the Sharjah Aquarium, the Sharjah Maritime Museum, and the People's Council in Al Khan.
