SCC’s 'Legislative and Legal Affairs' Committee discusses SMA’s draft law

Sharjah 24: The Committee on 'Legislative and Legal Affairs' in Sharjah Consultative Council (SCC) expressed its legal opinion on the draft law organising the Sharjah Museums Authority (SMA).
The draft law is referred to it by the Committee of Islamic Affairs, Endowments, Municipalities, Security and Public Utilities Affairs of SCC, as it is the original committee.

This came during the meeting held by the committee at SCC’s headquarters in the city of Sharjah, headed by Dr. Shaheen Ishaq Al Mazmi, head of the committee, and attended by top officials of the committee. 

The committee examined the various articles mentioned in the draft law that regulate the work system of SMA in terms of legal formulations in the field of specialisations, objectives and administration. In addition, the committee discussed details in the draft law to enable SMA to achieve its goals by exercising its competencies in developing policies for the preservation of museums and the preservation of their collections.
