Dibba Al Hisn Council visits the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah

Sharjah 24: Dibba Al Hisn Council, an affiliate of the Sharjah Districts and Villages Affairs Department (SDVAD), was introduced to the manuscripts, Qurans and Quranic treasures the Holy Quran Academy in Sharjah houses.
The Council’s delegation that included Sulaiman bin Jama'ah Al-Yahyi, Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn  Council; Council members, Mohammed Hassan Al Dhahouri, Obaid Khalfan Al Muhallabi, Obaid Al Mughani, Mohammed Ahmed bin Yarouf and Abdullah Obaid Al Dhahouri, was received by Sheikh Sherzad Abdul Rahman Taher, Secretary General of the Holy Quran Academy.

Sheikh Sherzad accompanied the delegation on a tour, during which he explained that the Academy is the largest academy for the Noble Quran in the world. He also showed the delegation rare copies of the Quran, along with manuscripts collected from around the world.

The introductory tour inside the Academy included an introduction to the Museum of “The Seven and Ten Recitations,” where they learned about the Quranic readings, their origins and their differences, in addition to the Museums of “Famous Reciters” and “Museum of the Kaaba Cloth and Curtains of the Prophet’s Chamber.” The visit also included a tour of the Academy halls.

Sulaiman bin Jama'ah Al-Yahyi, Chairman of Dibba Al Hisn  Council, was pleased to visit such a unique establishment being the pride of  Sharjah in light of its guardianship of the Holy Quran, according to the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Mohamed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah.
