The programme coincides with Vantage Point, the Foundation’s biennial open-call photography exhibition, and offers visitors the opportunity to discover and collect photographic prints that represent a diverse range of local photographic practices.
The participating photographers are Abdullah Alblooshi, Amin Idris, Anna Jopp, Aqib Anwar, Babra Murenzi, Hamzeh Zahran, Jed Bacason, Martin Ong Yambao, Mivan Makia, Mohammed Ahmed (Bebo), Mohamed Abdelwahab, Moza Al Falasi, Ola Allouz, Preschelle Ann Bigueras, Redha Al Hammad, Ron John, Saif Alzari, Sam Allison, Tamara Tsehai Tesfai and Zayed Ebrahim Alhaddar.
Over the three-day programme, the Photography Gallery will serve as a hub for Sharjah’s local photography community, bringing together artists, practitioners, collectors and audiences through talks, workshops and pop-up studios.
Vantage Point Editions aims to support the work of local photographers while providing audiences with an opportunity to explore photographic practices across a broad range of approaches and perspectives.
The programme also reflects Sharjah Art Foundation’s ongoing commitment to creating platforms for artists and practitioners and to fostering spaces for learning, exchange and community engagement.
The initiative offers audiences opportunities to encounter and acquire photographic works while strengthening connections among photographers, art practitioners and collectors.
