Sharjah 24: England international Jack Grealish has returned to Everton on loan from Manchester City until the end of the season, rejoining the club after spending last season there on a temporary basis.

The 30-year-old rediscovered his form during his spell with the Toffees last season before a foot injury brought his campaign to an early end in January.

“It feels great. I’m very happy,” Grealish said in a statement released by Everton. “I think I’m at my best in every aspect of life, not just football, when I feel loved. That’s what the manager has given me, what my teammates have given me, and especially the fans.”

Despite joining Manchester City from Aston Villa for £100 million ($135 million) in 2021, Grealish has slipped down the pecking order at the Etihad Stadium in recent seasons.

The England international featured for City in their Premier League opener against Bournemouth, as well as in their Community Shield defeat to Arsenal.

However, his prospects of securing additional playing time under Italian manager Enzo Maresca appeared limited following the arrival of Senegalese forward Iliman Ndiaye from Everton, along with the signing of Brazilian winger Allan.

Grealish can now join Scottish manager David Moyes’ squad immediately for Sunday’s difficult home clash against Manchester United.
