Sharjah24: His Excellency Dr Abdul Aziz bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the Sharjah Health Authority, announced the convening of the Executive Committee to expand the Health Cities Programme across the Emirate of Sharjah. The meeting was held on Thursday at the Authority's headquarters. The committee reviewed achievements from the previous phase and approved the programme's operational plan, which covers all cities in the Emirate and aligns with the standards adopted by the World Health Organisation (WHO). Additionally, the digital platform for preparing files and entering data on the programme's components was launched.

Workshop with WHO prepares teams for accreditation

Speaking exclusively to Sharjah24, His Excellency added that a joint workshop with WHO has also been approved. Targeting members of the Executive Committee and Coordination Committees, the workshop will precede the WHO team's scheduled visit to review the files and key criteria for the accreditation of all of Sharjah's cities as Healthy Cities.

Digital platform supports accreditation preparations

Al Muhairi also noted the launch of the digital platform for preparing files and entering data related to the programme's criteria. He concluded his statement by wishing everyone success and expressing his hope that the emirate will achieve this international accreditation, which represents a qualitative leap forward in the path to sustainable health development.
