Sharjah 24: The Judicial Department, in collaboration with the University of Sharjah, organised a written test for applicants seeking appointment as Assistant Judges, as part of the approved selection process for candidates to join the Assistant Judge programme.

The test aims to attract qualified legal professionals, assess applicants’ knowledge and academic capabilities, and determine their readiness to join the judiciary.

Dr Mohammed Obaid Al Kaabi, Chairman of the Judicial Department, accompanied by members of the Judicial Council, inspected the test and reviewed the organisational procedures and applicant assessment mechanisms in place to ensure equal opportunities and the highest levels of accuracy and transparency throughout the selection process.

Registration for the programme was open from 16 to 23 July 2026 to qualified legal professionals seeking to join the judiciary.

The initiative forms part of the Judicial Department’s efforts to select qualified candidates based on rigorous and transparent professional standards, contributing to strengthening the justice system with qualified judicial talent capable of safeguarding rights and upholding the rule of law.
