Sharjah 24: The French national team crushed Norway 4-1, with Ousmane Dembélé scoring a hat-trick, to top Group I of the 2026 World Cup and qualify to face one of the best third-placed teams in the Round of 32.

Perfect record of nine points

In Foxborough, Massachusetts, the "Les Bleus," whose goals were scored by Ballon d'Or winner Dembélé (7th, 20th, and 32nd minutes) and Désiré Doué (90+4th minute), finished their group stage campaign with a perfect record of nine points and will play their Round of 32 match on Tuesday in New York.

Norway, playing without their star striker Erling Haaland, who was on the bench, managed to pull one back through Thelo Aasgaard (21st minute). Having secured second place with 6 points, they will face Ivory Coast, who finished second in Group E, on Tuesday in Dallas.
