Emiratization targets are part of a national policy aimed at enhancing the participation of Emirati professionals in the private sector. They require targeted companies to achieve an annual increase of 2% in the number of UAE citizens employed in skilled jobs, with 1% mandated for the first half of the year and another 1% for the second half.
The Ministry called on targeted companies to benefit from the Nafis platform, which hosts a sizeable pool of job-seeking UAE citizens across a wide range of specialisations, enabling companies to find the qualified, trained professionals and specialists they need.
Emiratization policies are a fundamental pillar in achieving the UAE’s economic ambitions and pioneering strategies for the future, MoHRE asserted, stressing that these policies will continue to advance and remain a national priority.
The Ministry cited partnership with the private sector as an essential element that plays a pivotal role in achieving meaningful progress on Emiratization policies, enhancing competitiveness and sustainable growth, and encouraging Emirati citizens to actively participate in the labour market.
Moreover, the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation expressed its confidence in the targeted companies’ capabilities and their commitment to fulfilling their obligations, given the UAE’s rapid economic development and sustainable growth across all business sectors.
Companies that achieve exceptional results in their Emiratization efforts will continue to enjoy access to competitive benefits and advantages, the Ministry affirmed. These privileges include being listed as members of the Emiratization Partners Club, which provides discounts of up to 80% on MoHRE service fees and grants priority in the government procurement system, thereby enhancing their business growth opportunities.
MoHRE is set to begin imposing financial contributions on non-compliant companies from 1 July 2026, amounting to AED10,000 per month (AED120,000 annually) for each position they fail to fill with an Emirati citizen.
The Ministry warned against attempting to manipulate Emiratization targets and resorting to ‘Fake Emiratization’ schemes, which are treated as serious labour market violations. It highlighted its pioneering digital and field inspection system, noting its ability to detect violations, which will be dealt with firmly in accordance with the law and applicable legislation.
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation called on citizens and community members to play their part in supporting these strategic government directions and to report violations and negative practices that undermine Emiratisation policies. Transgressions can be reported by contacting the Call Centre on 600590000 or through the Ministry’s application and website, which helps ensure the highest standards of privacy and responsiveness.
