Speaking at the opening of the Fourth Economic Parliamentary Forum for the Euro-Mediterranean and Gulf regions in Marrakech, Al Yamahi called for translating the region’s potential into practical outcomes through joint projects and stronger economic, trade and investment integration to build more resilient regional supply chains.
He urged parliaments to expand their role beyond legislation by supporting major economic initiatives and responding to rapid global changes. Al Yamahi also reaffirmed the Arab Parliament’s support for deeper Arab-Euro-Mediterranean-African cooperation based on shared interests, knowledge transfer and increased investment in technology and infrastructure.
He highlighted the importance of strengthening dialogue among parliaments, international financial institutions and the private sector to advance solutions related to financing, development, investment and technology transfer, contributing to sustainable development, stability and shared prosperity.
