The winners were announced during the closing ceremony of the award’s 14th edition, organised by the Sharjah Environment and Protected Areas Authority (SEPAA), in the presence of representatives from government, academic and educational institutions, members of the judging panels, and strategic partners.
The award was received by Eng. Khalid bin Butti Al Muhairi, Chairman of the SDH, accompanied by the team responsible for the initiative, in recognition of the institution’s efforts to develop innovative solutions that take environmental considerations into account and contribute to enhancing the efficiency and sustainability of housing projects.
The department’s winning entry, the “Green Concrete” initiative, reflects its commitment to integrating sustainable practices and materials into the construction sector. The initiative contributes to reducing environmental impact, improving resource efficiency, and supporting Sharjah’s sustainable development agenda.
This achievement mirrored the integrated institutional efforts and collaboration among work teams that result in achieving such award.
