Sharjah 24 – WAM: The United Arab Emirates welcomed the recent joint statement on Sudan, which reaffirmed a collective international commitment to supporting a peaceful, democratic, and stable path forward that reflects the true aspirations of the brotherly Sudanese people.

Reaffirming support for a peaceful and democratic transition

The UAE expressed its strong alignment with the joint statement's core objectives. The nation emphasized that restoring a peaceful and democratic trajectory is essential to meeting the long-term aspirations of the Sudanese people for institutional stability and national unity.

Commendation of international and regional efforts

The UAE commended the ongoing international and regional diplomatic initiatives dedicated to resolving the crisis. This includes the strategic outcomes of the Berlin Conference and the growing global calls to immediately halt hostilities in favor of launching a comprehensive, civilian-led political process.

Active support for humanitarian truce and ceasefire

The UAE reiterated its total support for all diplomatic and logistical efforts aimed at securing an immediate humanitarian truce, achieving a permanent ceasefire, and ending widespread humanitarian suffering.
