The UAE announced the success of its latest mediation initiative, which facilitated the exchange of 185 Russian and 185 Ukrainian prisoners. With this latest operation, the total number of prisoners exchanged through UAE-mediated efforts since the start of the crisis has reached 7,471.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed its appreciation to both countries for their cooperation in ensuring the success of the mediation, highlighting the confidence placed in the UAE’s diplomatic efforts and its commitment to supporting initiatives aimed at resolving the conflict.

The Ministry noted that this marks the 24th successful UAE mediation between Russia and Ukraine, reflecting the strong relations the UAE maintains with both countries.

The Ministry also reaffirmed the UAE’s commitment to supporting all efforts aimed at achieving a peaceful resolution to the conflict and mitigating its humanitarian impact, including on prisoners and refugees.
