Yousef Al Shamsi: AI supports institutions' readiness for future

Sharjah24: His Excellency Brigadier General Yousef Obaid Yousef Harmoul Al Shamsi, Director-General of the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority (SCDA), affirmed that the directives of His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince, Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, and Chairman of the Sharjah Executive Council (SEC), to accelerate the adoption of AI assistants and integrate them into government operations will strengthen the readiness of government entities to meet future requirements and further reinforce Sharjah’s position as a leading model in leveraging advanced technologies to serve people and society. He added that these directives represent a significant step forward in enhancing institutional performance, accelerating service delivery, and strengthening data-driven decision-making, thereby contributing to an improved quality of life and the achievement of the highest standards of excellence.
His Excellency further noted that the Sharjah Civil Defense Authority views AI assistants as a key enabler for advancing its prevention, safety, and emergency response ecosystem. Through faster information analysis, more efficient management of resources and field operations, and the ability to anticipate potential risks before they occur, these technologies will support the continuous enhancement of services and improve customer experience. He emphasized that the Authority will continue to align with Sharjah’s pioneering government initiatives in this field by investing in national talent development and adopting innovative smart solutions, further strengthening operational readiness, supporting its mission to protect lives and property, while advancing Sharjah's vision for a more efficient, agile, and sustainable AI-assisted government.
