Khalid bin Humaid chairs first meeting of Sharjah Sports Council

The Chairman expressed his sincere gratitude to His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, for the trust placed in the Council. He also acknowledged the support of the Crown Prince and Deputy Rulers, affirming the Council’s commitment to maintaining past achievements and enhancing Sharjah’s reputation locally and internationally.

Vice chairman elected and committees discussed

During the meeting, Dr Abdullah Abdul Rahman bin Sultan was elected as Vice Chairman of the Council. The formation of committees operating under the Council’s umbrella was also discussed and approved for implementation in the next meeting.

Review of Council’s establishment and objectives

At the start of the session, attendees reviewed the Emiri Decree establishing the Board of Directors, the law governing the Council’s creation, and the objectives and responsibilities of the Council, including the roles of its Chairman and Secretary-General.
