Al Qasimia University honours outstanding employees

Sharjah24: Prof. Dr Awad Al Khalaf, Chancellor of Al Qasimia University (AQU), honoured the winners of the second edition of the Outstanding Employee Award during the university’s annual gathering, which was attended by college deans, directors of centres and departments, and administrative staff.

The award aims to recognise distinguished employees, encourage initiative and innovation in the workplace, and foster a culture of creativity and institutional excellence.

Award winners

Mohamed Abdulaziz Basheer from the Deanship of Student Affairs received the Outstanding Administrative Employee Award. The Outstanding Support Employee Award was shared by Mohamed Shaker Ahmed from the Office of the Chancellor and Sadiq Shawkat from the Services Department, in recognition of their dedication and professionalism.

The Public Relations Department, under the leadership of Ali Al Naqbi, received the Outstanding Team Award for its efforts in enhancing internal and external institutional communication with a spirit of collaboration and innovation.

Dialogue and appreciation

During the gathering, Dr Al Khalaf engaged in an open discussion with the administrative staff, listening to their views and suggestions on improving the work environment and enhancing administrative and academic services.

He reaffirmed that Al Qasimia University continues to follow the vision and guidance of its founder, His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, to create an inspiring work environment that values creativity, rewards excellence, and supports developmental initiatives in line with the university’s mission of nurturing individuals through knowledge and values.

Dr Al Khalaf concluded by expressing his gratitude to all staff for their sincere efforts, praising their contributions to teamwork, quality, and institutional excellence, and encouraging them to continue working creatively and collaboratively towards the university’s noble goals.
