Sharjah24: Sharjah Private Education Authority (SPEA) continues to play a significant role in Sharjah's cultural and educational scene through its involvement in the 44th Sharjah International Book Fair 2025, held under the theme “Between You and the Book” from 5 to 16 November 2025 at Expo Centre Sharjah. The authority’s pavilion provides visitors with an interactive educational experience aimed at reigniting enthusiasm for reading and discovery.

A rich programme of workshops and activities

This year, SPEA presents a diverse programme of workshops, interactive sessions and cultural competitions aimed at students, teachers, parents and visitors. The goal is to foster a love of reading and develop creative and critical thinking skills among younger generations.

Activities include unique literary, artistic, and scientific workshops such as “Creative Writers,” “From the Thought of Sultan,” “Colourful Bookmarks,” “Discover the Award,” “My Creativity Colours My World,” and “I Create with My Arabic Letters.” The pavilion also features engaging segments like “Puppet Theatre” and “The Book’s Journey Through Time,” along with practical art workshops including “The Art of Printing” and “From Idea to Story.”

Performances and student showcases

During the fair, visitors can enjoy a stage performance titled “Pages That Never Fade,” as well as a student choral performance “Melodies of Letters... From Sultan’s Sharjah.” The programme also features interactive competitions and valuable prizes in a lively educational atmosphere that encourages creativity and participation.

Commitment to nurturing excellence and creativity

Her Excellency Dr Muhadditha Al Hashimi, Chairperson of Sharjah Private Education Authority, affirmed that the authority’s participation embodies its vision of fostering an educational environment that encourages excellence and innovation. She said:

Our presence at this global cultural event shows our dedication to promoting reading as an educational and intellectual value, and to creating opportunities for students and the education community to connect with books as a key source of intellectual development — in line with the vision of His Highness Sheikh Dr Sultan bin Mohammed Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Sharjah, who sees culture and education as the twin pillars of human progress.

Empowering future generations

His Excellency Ali Al Hosani, Director-General of Sharjah Private Education Authority, stated that the participation demonstrates the authority’s dedication to equipping students with essential skills to effectively engage with modern knowledge and sciences.

This year, through our platform, we aim to enhance students' critical thinking, interactive reading, and innovation skills by providing educational experiences and workshops that ignite curiosity and foster cognitive and social development. This aligns with this year’s school theme ‘A Skilled Generation for a Prosperous Society,’ which embodies our ultimate goal of preparing a generation capable of building a thriving future while maintaining its national identity and authentic values.

Invitation to the community

SPEA invites visitors of all ages to explore its pavilion at the Sharjah International Book Fair, participate in its daily activities and interactive competitions, and learn about its educational and creative initiatives. Visitors can also follow the authority’s social media accounts for updates on daily workshops and events.

Through its participation, the authority reinforces its vision of integrating education with culture and strengthening Sharjah’s position as a global hub for knowledge and learning — contributing to the development of a generation of readers and innovators prepared for the future.
