Sharjah 24 – AFP: Manchester United were held to a 2-2 draw by Nottingham Forest in the tenth round of the English Premier League.

Diallo rescues United from defeat

Ivorian Amad Diallo saved Manchester United from a fourth league defeat by scoring the equalizer in the 81st minute, ensuring a 2-2 draw against Nottingham Forest.

United took the lead in the 34th minute through Casemiro, who headed in a corner delivered by Bruno Fernandes. However, Forest responded with two quick goals early in the second half — Morgan Gibbs-White equalized with a header in the 48th minute, followed by Nicolo Savona’s close-range strike in the 50th.

Impact on standings

Manchester United missed the chance to move into second place and remain fifth in the standings with 17 points, pending the results of the remaining weekend matches.

For Nottingham Forest, the draw earned them their first Premier League point after four straight defeats that led to the sacking of coach Ange Postecoglou. Sean Dyche has since taken over the managerial role.

Crystal Palace extend winning run

Crystal Palace secured their second consecutive victory in all competitions, defeating Brentford 2-0. The goals came from Jean-Philippe Mateta (30) and an own goal by Nathan Michael Collins (51).

Fulham and Brighton secure comfortable wins

Fulham took advantage of Wolverhampton Wanderers being reduced to ten men after the dismissal of Emmanuel Agbadou (36), winning 3-0 through goals by Ryan Sessegnon (9), Harry Wilson (62), and an own goal by Yersin Mosquera (75).

Brighton also returned to winning ways after two defeats, beating Leeds United 3-0 with goals from Danny Welbeck (11) and Diego Gomez (64, 70).
