The Careers Fair demonstrates ZU’s strategic focus on boosting graduate employability by building partnerships between academia and the private sector. This year’s event celebrated leading employers for 2025 and organisations that have shown outstanding support for ZU interns. With 80% of attendees from the private sector, the event supports the UAE’s Nafis programme and national initiatives to increase Emirati representation in private-sector careers.
Through networking opportunities, panel discussions, and interactive workshops, students directly connected with industry leaders to explore internships, sponsorships, and full-time roles. The fair also reinforced ZU’s “Internship to Employment” initiative, which encourages employers to turn promising interns into permanent hires.
ZU’s latest Graduate Destination Survey (Spring & Summer 2024) recorded an 86% employment rate and a 96% overall employability rate among graduates, highlighting the university’s success in preparing students for the changing job market.
Commenting on the event, Jane Tatterton, Assistant Provost for Student Affairs at Zayed University, highlighted the fair’s importance in connecting students with real-world opportunities. She observed that such initiatives embody the university’s mission to transform education into meaningful careers through collaboration, innovation, and practical experience.
Employers from sectors including finance, technology, construction, healthcare, and media participated, providing insights into labour market trends and emerging skills. The fair reinforced Zayed University’s position as a centre for talent development and its ongoing contribution to the UAE’s vision for a competitive, knowledge-driven economy.
