At the start of the meeting, Sheikh Ahmed bin Hamdan welcomed the new members, wishing them success and expressing confidence in their ability to develop the Federation’s work and enhance the status of sailing and modern rowing both locally and internationally.
Sheikh Ahmed praised the support sports receive from the UAE’s leadership and thanked the Ministry of Sports and the National Olympic Committee for their efforts in empowering sports federations. He emphasiسed the importance of teamwork and cooperation with clubs, sports councils, and relevant institutions to further develop marine sports and nurture national talent.
The meeting reviewed the Board of Directors’ responsibilities, discussed the promotion of sailing and modern rowing, highlighted the 2025 achievements, and planned schedules for local and international events in 2025 and 2026, alongside future development initiatives.
Administrative portfolios were assigned among board members: Khalid Al Owais – Chairman of the Technical and Sports Committee; Reem Al Mazrouei – Chairperson of the Community Committee; and Mansour Al Fahim – Chairman of the Marketing and Investment Committee.
