The announcement followed the Preparatory Forum for the Sharjah Government Pavilion, organised by SDD in the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Director General of SDD, and Her Excellency Eng Lamia Al Hosan Al Shamsi, Director of SDD, alongside representatives from participating government entities.
His Excellency Sheikh Saud bin Sultan Al Qasimi stressed that the Government of Sharjah’s participation will be “an exceptional participation” that makes a meaningful difference. He referred to the approval of the Sharjah Digital Integration Programme by His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Mohammed bin Sultan Al Qasimi, Crown Prince and Deputy Ruler of Sharjah, as a key milestone that continues to steer the emirate’s digital transformation journey.
The Director General emphasised that this year’s theme embodies Sharjah’s leadership vision to bolster the emirate’s position as a global leader in innovation and digital connectivity. The pavilion will feature a unique model of interconnected government services, aimed at improving community well-being and enhancing the customer experience.
He observed that the showcased projects demonstrate Sharjah’s commitment to innovation and sustainable development, aligning with national strategies and contributing to the UAE’s broader vision for a smart, future-ready nation. The participation also provides an opportunity to establish local and international partnerships, strengthening Sharjah’s position on the global innovation map.
The Government of Sharjah’s participation will showcase its success stories in digital transformation and artificial intelligence adoption, emphasising the emirate’s role as a regional and global centre for innovation. These initiatives aim to provide high-quality, people-oriented services that meet the needs of individuals, businesses, and communities while enhancing overall quality of life.
The participation also fosters collaboration between the public and private sectors, both locally and internationally, in support of Sharjah’s pursuit of digital excellence and governance leadership.
The Sharjah Pavilion will provide visitors with an immersive and interactive experience, including live demonstrations and real-world success stories that showcase the collaboration between government entities and private sector partners.
Presented through four interconnected ecosystems — Digital Experiences, Environmental Sustainability, Smart Cities, and Our Humanity — the pavilion demonstrates how technology is used to serve people, enhance quality of life, and create a sustainable future for everyone.
This participation, held in partnership with e& as the Gold Sponsor, highlights the significance of public–private collaboration in fostering innovation and progressing Sharjah’s digital journey.
The Preparatory Forum also discussed plans for media coordination, unified messaging, and pavilion design, ensuring Sharjah’s participation portrays a consistent and future-oriented image. Participants examined registration procedures, communication channels, and media coverage guidelines while exploring collaboration mechanisms among organisations.
The session ended by reaffirming Sharjah’s ongoing commitment to GITEX Global, the world’s largest exhibition for technology, AI, and start-ups, as a strategic platform that broadens opportunities, strengthens partnerships, and reinforces the emirate’s leadership in shaping a people-centred digital future.
