Exhilarating experience as 75 films light up screens at SIFF

In an interview with “Sharjah 24,” she mentioned that the festival will also host its inaugural International Children's and Youth Film Conference. This conference will address topics related to films and media aimed at children and young audiences. It will include participation from festival directors around the globe who specialize in this genre.

Additionally, this year’s festival is celebrating South Korea as its guest of honour. October 10 will be a special day dedicated to showcasing Korean films, featuring meetings with directors, interactive workshops, and discussions about Korean cinema and culture.

Films will be screened at Vox Cinemas in various locations: City Centre Al Zahia in Sharjah, City Centre Mirdif in Dubai, and City Centre Ajman. Mornings will be set aside for school students, while evenings will be open to the general public. There will also be an outdoor cinema at the Sharjah Research Technology and Innovation Park.

In another event, the Sharjah Social Services Department organized "Gulf Family Day" at the Sharjah Classic Cars Club. Local organizations, including the Family Gathering Center and the Elderly Services Center, participated to strengthen connections between generations and promote family unity. Maryam Al Suwaidi, director of the Family Gathering Center, explained that since its establishment in 2010, the center has aimed to help children maintain relationships with their separated parents through visitations, counseling, and family workshops, particularly for those affected by divorce.
