SIH launches academic year with student orientation programme

Programmes and services

The programme began with a welcoming speech to new and returning students by Dr Khaled Al Shehhi, Director of the Academic Administration. This was followed by a review of the institute's vision and mission and its role in raising awareness of national culture and heritage. The programme also included an introduction to the accredited academic programmes and diplomas, academic regulations, and the new grading system, along with introductions to faculty members.

Student support and services

The programme included an introduction to admissions, registration, and student support services, SIH library, learning resources, and electronic platforms. It also included student activities and heritage events throughout the year, the importance of field training and heritage visits, and a spotlight on the quality policy and academic accreditation.

Interaction and a confident start

Finally, the floor was opened for students to ask questions, and the academic administration and faculty members were eager to answer them, ensuring a confident start to the new academic year.
