Sharjah24 - WAM: Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defence and Chairman of The Executive Council of Dubai, met with a team from Dubai Civil Defence, in the presence of Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi, Commander-in-Chief of Dubai Civil Defence.

Commendation for firefighting excellence

Sheikh Hamdan praised the team for their exceptional skill and swift response in containing a recent building fire in Dubai. He highlighted their use of state-of-the-art firefighting equipment and their ability to bring the blaze under control in record time.

Recognition of professionalism and training

The Crown Prince underscored the team’s readiness, professionalism, and advanced training, which enable them to operate the most sophisticated firefighting technologies. He expressed appreciation for their efforts to safeguard lives and property, reinforcing Dubai’s reputation as one of the world’s safest cities.

Lieutenant General Expert Rashid Thani Al Matrooshi thanked Sheikh Hamdan for his unwavering support, noting how it motivates Civil Defence teams. Use of ‘Shaheen’ drones in Al Barsha fire

Last week, Dubai Civil Defence deployed advanced ‘Shaheen’ drones to control a fire in a residential building in Al Barsha. Designed for high-rise buildings up to 200 metres, these drones carry a 1,200-litre tank for water and firefighting foam, ensuring rapid and effective aerial support.
