Led by English striker Harry Kane, who marked his 100th goal for the Bavarian club, Bayern dominated the encounter. Colombian Luis Díaz opened the scoring in the 22nd minute, before Kane struck twice — first from the penalty spot in the 45th minute and again in the 65th minute. Austrian midfielder Konrad Laimer added the fourth in the 88th minute.
Kane became the fastest player to score 100 goals with a single club in Europe’s top five leagues, reaching the milestone in just 104 matches. He surpassed Portuguese legend Cristiano Ronaldo (105 games with Real Madrid) and Norwegian striker Erling Haaland (105 games with Manchester City), according to Opta statistics.
The victory lifted Bayern to 15 points, five clear of Borussia Dortmund, who face Mainz on Saturday. Werder Bremen, meanwhile, suffered their third defeat of the season, remaining on four points.
This was the 117th meeting between Bayern Munich and Werder Bremen, making it the longest-running fixture in Bundesliga history.
