Sharjah 24: As part of its strategy to develop individual sports and boost its presence on both the local and international stage, the Individual Games Committee at Dibba Al Hisn Sports Club held its regular meeting on Monday. The session, chaired by Abdullah Al Watari, Committee Chairman, was attended by all members and focused on ways to raise the standard of individual sports at the club and provide support to players and coaches to achieve their best results.

Enhancing individual games’ presence

The launch of the initiative comes within the context of Dibba Al Hisn Club's commitment to enhancing the presence of individual games and highlighting their role in enriching the sports arena and supporting the careers of young talents and training personnel, in line with the club's aspirations for further successes at the local and international levels.

The Committee Chairman began the session by introducing the new Secretary of the Committee, a move that reflects the club's commitment to strengthening administrative and organisational work and activating collective efforts, contributing to the development of work mechanisms and ensuring accurate monitoring of programsme and implementation plans

Best player and coach

During the meeting, Abdullah Al Watari proposed a new initiative: a monthly award for the best player in various individual sports and the best coach, in recognition of their efforts and as an incentive for further dedication and excellence within the competition. He emphasised that this initiative falls within the club's approach to instilling a culture of appreciation and recognition of achievements, both in terms of technical performance and training efforts.

The committee chairman indicated that the winners will be selected based on precise criteria, including competitive performance, commitment to training programmes, active participation in internal and external activities, as well as their level of technical development and sportsmanship. The names of the honourees will be announced at the end of each month during a simple ceremony in recognition of their contributions.
