Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Government Employees Club has signed a partnership agreement with Padel Arena, a padel company located on Mleiha Road in Sharjah.
Promoting sports’ culture

This partnership reflects the club's commitment to promoting a culture of sports and physical activity among employees and providing recreational and healthy options that support their quality of life.

The agreement aims to provide Sharjah government employees with access to modern sports facilities and enable them to adopt a more active lifestyle, in line with the emirate's vision to make sports an essential part of daily life.

Under the agreement, Sharjah government employees will receive a 30% discount on padel court reservation fees from morning hours until 4:00 PM, a 20% discount in the evening hours from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM, and a 10% discount on food and beverages offered by the facility.

A stimulating sporting environment

This initiative provides a stimulating sporting environment, allowing employees to practice one of the fastest-growing sports in the world, along with opportunities to meet and socialise through joint sporting activities.

Omar Abdullah Alajla, Vice Chairman of the Sharjah Government Employees Club, emphasised that this partnership aligns with the club's commitment to providing quality programmes and initiatives that enhance employees' quality of life. He said that the partnership is an important step in expanding options for government employees to exercise in modern, integrated facilities. This contributes to enhancing their physical and mental health and encourages them to adopt a healthy and balanced lifestyle that positively impacts their performance in the workplace.

Alajla pointed out that the club prioritises building bridges of cooperation with private sector institutions to support health and sports initiatives, emphasising that such partnerships enhance the integration of efforts across various sectors to serve the community. He added that exercising is one of the most important pillars of happiness and productivity, and that providing these opportunities for government employees reflects Sharjah's commitment to a comprehensive vision that places people at the centre of development and places their well-being at the forefront of strategic objectives.

Promoting community health

For his part, Saud Bin Al Rukun, owner of Padel Arena, expressed his happiness at cooperating with the Sharjah Government Employees Club, noting that the company is keen to provide an integrated sports environment that encourages an active and healthy lifestyle.

He emphasised that Padel Arena seeks, through this partnership, to make padel accessible to a wider segment of society, especially employees who can benefit from its facilities both during and outside of work hours, thus promoting a culture of exercising as part of daily life.

Bin Al Rukun explained that the company continuously strives to develop its services and facilities by offering world-class courts and training programmes suitable for various age and fitness levels, in addition to providing a stimulating social environment that allows employees to interact and exchange experiences. He added that the partnership with the Sharjah Government Employees Club reflects Padel Arena's commitment to contributing to achieving the emirate's goals aimed at promoting community health and providing a modern sports environment that aligns with Sharjah's position as a leading city in all fields.

Building a balanced society

This partnership is part of the Sharjah Government Employees Club's efforts to implement its strategy, which focuses on improving the quality of professional and social life for employees by providing integrated programs that combine health, sports, and culture. It also aligns with the emirate's vision of building a balanced society where employees enjoy real opportunities to enhance their physical and psychological well-being, contributing to increased productivity and cementing Sharjah's position as a model for investing in people, the most important asset in the development process.
