Sharjah 24: As part of its ongoing commitment to community responsibility, the Sharjah Charity International donated a modern, fully equipped vehicle to the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled.

Suitable environment for members with disabilities

The donation aims to support the club's efforts to provide a suitable environment for its members with disabilities, enabling them to move around and participate in sports and social activities with ease and safety.

This came during an official ceremony held at the club's headquarters, attended by representatives from both sides. The Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled's representatives included Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors,

Ali Ahmed bin Aboud Al Naqbi, Secretary General, and Abdullah Saeed Al Harithi, Chairman of the Corporate Communications Committee.

Sharjah Charity International representatives included Dr Yaqoub Ali Al Naqbi, Member of the Board of Directors; Mr. Nasser Masoud Bilal, Head of the Branches Sector; and Mr. Ahmed Khamis Al Motawa, Director of Khorfakkan Branch.

Generous initiative

Abdullah Saleh Al Naqbi, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Khorfakkan Club for the Disabled, expressed his deep gratitude and appreciation to the Sharjah Charity International, saying that the club highly values this generous initiative, which reflects the association's deep commitment to people with disabilities and strengthens the community support based on cooperation and solidarity between the emirate's various institutions. He added that providing an equipped vehicle represents a qualitative leap in the club's logistical services, directly contributing to enhancing players' readiness to participate in local and international events and providing them with a safe transportation environment that ensures continuity and comfort. Al Naqbi stated that he looks forward to strengthening this partnership and continuing such initiatives that support the empowerment of such a group dear to all hearts.

Fulfilling social responsibility

For his part, Dr Yaqoub Ali Al Naqbi, Board Member of the Sharjah Charity International, stated that through this support, the association affirms its commitment to fulfilling its social responsibility and enhancing cooperation, which is at the heart of institutional work aimed at improving the level of services provided to the club's players and members. He pointed out that the vehicle provided by Sharjah Charity International is a modern vehicle dedicated to transporting the club's players and members, equipped according to standards that ensure the safety and security of passengers.

Dr Yaqoub Ali Al Naqbi emphasised Sharjah Charity International commitment to community contributions, whether at the charitable or humanitarian level. He added that the association's contribution today represents a societal and humanitarian duty that reflects the spirit of cooperation between institutions in society. Al Naqbi said that the association is aware that today's means of transportation are essential for institutions, including the club. He stated that such initiatives are a means to enhance individual participation and empower them in society.

Al Naqbi confirmed that the association's work is ongoing and continuous with humanitarian community institutions to serve charitable and humanitarian work.

True investment in people with disabilities

Ali Ahmed bin Aboud Al Naqbi, Secretary General of the club, said that the vehicle comes at an important time, as the number of people is increasing. The number of club members and their diverse activities necessitates the provision of specialised and reliable transportation. The vehicle has been equipped according to precise standards that address the needs of people with disabilities, providing them with safety and ease of use, which positively impacts their attendance and active participation in training and tournaments.

This initiative is not just financial support; it is a powerful moral message that reflects a deep belief in the capabilities of this group and emphasises the importance of empowering and fully integrating them into the sporting and societal communities.

In the same context, Abdullah Saeed Al-Huraithi, Chairman of the Club's Corporate Communications Committee, said that that club views this support as more than just a vehicle donation; it is a true investment in the energies and capabilities of people with disabilities. Such qualitative initiatives highlight the importance of partnerships between charitable and sports organisations and contribute to building a positive image of an inclusive society that places people at the forefront of its priorities. Effective institutional communication also plays a pivotal role in conveying these humanitarian models to the community, enhancing the culture of volunteer work and inspiring others to take the initiative and give back.

At the conclusion of the event, the two parties exchanged commemorative shields and took commemorative photos, in an atmosphere that reflects the deep partnership and integration between charitable and sports institutions in the emirate.
