Sharjah 24: Nada Al Hajri, General Coordinator of the Sharjah Excellence Award, announced the launch of the official ceremony for the 2024 Sharjah Excellence Award at Expo Centre Sharjah, organised today, Wednesday, by the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Seventeen winners from the UAE and GCC countries were honoured across eight main categories for their adherence to quality and governance standards.

Promoting quality and institutional excellence

In exclusive statements to “Sharjah 24,” Nada Al Hajri confirmed that the award instills a culture of quality and institutional excellence within companies and business communities in the UAE and the GCC. The programme has succeeded in enhancing competitiveness, creating an investment climate, and enabling the private sector to embrace the values of leadership and innovation, thus enhancing the growth of commercial and industrial businesses and building a sustainable economy.

High participation and competitive categories

Al Hajri pointed out that the 2024 edition witnessed intense competition in the following categories: Sharjah Gulf Excellence Award, Sharjah Gulf Localisation Award, Sharjah Small and Medium Enterprises Award, Sharjah Entrepreneurship Award, Sharjah Award for Entrepreneurs with Disabilities, Sharjah Social Responsibility Award, and Sharjah Award for the Best Facility Complying with Security Standards (in cooperation with Sharjah Police General Command)

Looking ahead to a new edition

The award's general coordinator called on entrepreneurs and institutions to participate in the next edition, which will include a new global model based on the fourth generation of excellence systems, with comprehensive developments in evaluation criteria to keep pace with changes.
