Kuwait plane lands safely after hoax bomb threat

Sharjah 24 – KUNA: Kuwait’s Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) confirmed on Sunday that a plane landed safely at Kuwait International Airport following a hoax bomb threat.

DGCA spokesman Abdullah Al-Rajhi stated that the threat was received while the plane was en route to Kuwait on a scheduled flight. Authorities swiftly activated security procedures in accordance with airport protocols.

Coordinated security measures

The response involved full coordination between the DGCA, the Ministry of Interior, and other relevant authorities. DGCA Chairman Sheikh Humoud Mubarak Al-Humoud Al-Sabah was present during the emergency landing.

Passengers safe, flights unaffected

All passengers disembarked safely, and no injuries were reported. Al-Rajhi confirmed that regular flight operations at the airport were not disrupted.

Suspect arrested

Authorities successfully identified and arrested the individual responsible for the false bomb threat.
