According to the Palestinian News Agency (WAFA), worshippers began arriving at the mosque’s courtyards at dawn from Jerusalem and various parts of the Palestinian territories. The atmosphere was filled with chants of "Allahu Akbar" (God is Greatest) as people marked the first day of Eid.
WAFA noted that the Islamic Endowments Department deployed security committees to regulate the flow of worshippers entering and exiting the mosque. These efforts ensured orderly movement despite restrictions at the Old City entrances and the mosque gates.
