Traffic dispute escalates to assault; SP refers it to Prosecution

Sharjah24: Sharjah Police has initiated an investigation into an assault incident that occurred on one of the emirate's streets. The altercation began between two Arab expatriates while driving, escalating into verbal and physical aggression due to a misunderstanding.

Police response

Upon receiving the report, police patrols promptly arrived at the scene of the incident. Both parties were summoned to provide their statements, and the case has been referred to the Public Prosecution to continue the legal proceedings.

Brigadier Ibrahim Musabah Al-Ajail, General Director of the General Administration of Comprehensive Police Stations, stated: "Sharjah Police deals firmly with such behaviors that do not reflect community conduct." He emphasized the importance of self-control and awareness in daily situations, urging individuals not to succumb to negative reactions.

He also stressed the necessity of avoiding the filming and dissemination of such incidents on social media, noting that recording and sharing the event constitutes a legal violation punishable by law. Such materials should be directed to the relevant authorities for appropriate action.
