Security and traffic
Officers handled the festival's security and directed traffic around the site, helping visitors reach the venue and leave without delays.
Handmade products from inmates
The Correctional Establishment took a stand selling handicrafts and handmade products made by inmates. It drew strong interest from visitors.
Sharjah Police said the work on show reflects its efforts to rehabilitate inmates: developing their talents, sharpening their skills and building abilities that can lead to work, production and a place back in the community.
Community presence
The force described its role at the festival as part of a wider effort to be present at community events across the emirate, strengthening security and staying in regular contact with the public.
The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and Kalba City Municipality organised the four-day festival, which ended on Sunday. It centres on jashe, sun-dried fish, and sahnah, a fermented fish condiment.
