Al Kaabi mentioned that the joint committee meeting of Cospas-Sarsat, an organisation concerned with satellite search and rescue operations, discusses the operational and technical aspects of the organisation. It gathers members and strategic partners involved in search and rescue, with over 200 participants exchanging experiences and showcasing the latest advancements in this field. The UAE's experience in search and rescue will be presented through an accompanying exhibition and the National Search and Rescue Center's pavilion.
He added, in statements to "Sharjah 24," that the center's pavilion features a new platform that acts as a repository for data related to search and rescue and various influencing factors. Notably, it is enhanced with artificial intelligence for the first time. Al Kaabi explained that artificial intelligence plays a significant role in processing the vast amounts of data available, such as weather conditions, wave and wind patterns, and complete information about the distressed person. These data are considered crucial factors that contribute to the successful planning needed to reach the person in distress in a timely manner.
