Nahyan bin Mubarak inaugurates regional digital summit

Sharjah 24 – WAM: Sheikh Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of Tolerance and Coexistence, inaugurated the SAMENA Council Leaders’ Summit 2025 in Dubai, under the patronage of the Telecommunications and Digital Government Regulatory Authority (TDRA).

In his address, Sheikh Nahyan noted that the UAE’s digital transformation is now a reality, guided by the leadership of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Key initiatives include AI governance, advanced education, and infrastructure investment.

He highlighted the region’s advancements in 5G, AI, and cloud computing but warned of global trade disruptions and the ethical challenges of emerging technologies.

Sheikh Nahyan urged the SAMENA region to build resilient digital ecosystems, invest in skills, and ensure technology serves humanity by promoting sustainability, inclusion, and economic opportunity.
