Sharjah24: In exclusive remarks to Sharjah 24, Dr Anwar Salam, medical advisor to Burjeel Holdings, highlighted that the fourth edition of the "Make it in the Emirates" forum is an important venue for local and international medical enterprises to build advanced industrial alliances. These collaborations help localise pharmaceutical manufacturing and medical equipment in the country, bolstering the UAE's leadership in the healthcare sector.

Dr Salam said that the medical sector pavilion at the forum is home to renowned pharmaceutical producers, medical supply suppliers, and innovative gadget firms. He emphasised that these enterprises are entering into joint manufacturing agreements and knowledge transfer activities with international authorities and factories, thereby increasing the UAE's potential to manufacture local medical solutions that meet national demands and can be exported to regional markets.

Manufacturing lines with worldwide partners

During the event, Dr Salam stated that Burjeel Holdings was in discussions with a number of worldwide partners regarding the possibility of establishing production lines for specialised pharmaceuticals, high-precision diagnostic instruments, and supplies for operating rooms and intensive care units. He underlined that the forum's streamlined regulatory environment makes it easier to negotiate these partnerships under the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.

Local expertise and sustainability of medical supplies

He also stated that the foreign attendance at the meeting demonstrates trust in the UAE's rising role as a hub for innovative medical sectors. He stated that these alliances will help localise expertise, provide high-quality job opportunities, and ensure the long-term viability of critical medical supply chains.
