Sharjah 24: The Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI), represented by the Sharjah Exports Development Center (SEDC), is actively taking part in the fourth edition of the "Make it in the Emirates" Forum, held at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre from May 19 to 22.

Supporting National Industry and Technological Innovation

The Chamber’s engagement reflects its strategic commitment to empowering the industrial sector, reinforcing the global competitiveness of local industries, and promoting innovation and technological integration across manufacturing domains. These efforts contribute to advancing the goals of the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology (Operation 300bn).

Showcasing Investment Opportunities in Sharjah

During the forum, the Chamber launched a dedicated platform featuring representatives from industrial companies based in Sharjah. The objective is to highlight investment opportunities in the emirate’s rapidly growing industrial sector, which currently hosts around 35 percent of the UAE’s manufacturing facilities.

This initiative also aims to help Sharjah’s entrepreneurs and investors stay informed on the latest global developments in the industrial sector and identify potential export markets.

Strategic participation and high-level delegation

The Sharjah Chamber’s delegation includes Abdallah Sultan Al Owais, Chairman of SCCI; Waleed AbdelRahman BuKhatir, Second Vice Chairman of SCCI; and Mohammad Ahmed Amin Al Awadi, Director-General of SCCI. Also present were Jamal Saeed Bouzanjal, Director of Corporate Communication; Ali Al Jari, Director of SEDC; and Lalu Samuel, Chairman of the Representative Committee of the Industry Sector Business Group at SCCI.

Strengthening industrial resilience and Emirati talent

Abdallah Sultan Al Owais engaged in a series of strategic meetings with officials and senior representatives of government bodies and industrial leaders.

Discussions focused on accelerating investment in advanced industries, enhancing industrial resilience, and empowering Emirati talent by connecting them with growth opportunities in the industrial and advanced technology sectors.

Support for startups was also emphasised to fuel the growth and global competitiveness of UAE-based industries.

Promoting Sharjah’s industrial edge

During the forum, the Chamber’s delegation showcased Sharjah’s industrial strengths, including its modern infrastructure, ongoing development initiatives, strategic location, business-friendly regulations, and competitive incentives that have made the emirate a leading manufacturing hub in the region.

Al Owais affirmed that SCCI’s presence at the forum reflects its unwavering commitment to advancing Sharjah’s global industrial profile and boosting its status as a manufacturing and export gateway.

Enhancing global reach and strategic partnerships

Al Owais highlighted the Chamber’s consistent efforts to expand the international footprint of Sharjah’s industrial sector. This includes providing targeted business services, enabling investments, and fostering partnerships through forums, trade exhibitions, delegations, and outbound trade missions.

Focus on innovation-driven sectors

Ali Al Jari emphasised that the Chamber’s participation in the forum underscores its dedication to promoting investment opportunities in Sharjah’s innovation-led industrial sectors.
