IKTIFA, Emirates Macaroni Factory partner to support organic food

Sharjah24: Dr Eng. Khalifa Al Tunaiji, Chairman of Sharjah Agriculture and Livestock Production (Ektifa), expressed pride in signing a cooperation agreement with the Emirates Macaroni Factory to produce "Saba' Sanabel" pasta using organic wheat from the farm. This agreement was part of the "Make it in the Emirates" forum held at the ADNEC Center in Abu Dhabi on Monday, highlighting its support for national food security. Ahmed Saeed Belyouha, Chairman of the Emirates Macaroni Factory, described the agreement as a historic milestone in the growth and sustainability of national food production.

Dr  Al Tunaiji praised the participation in the "Make it in the Emirates" forum organised by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, showcasing the "Saba' Sanabel" product, which is the first local product to receive the "Make it in the Emirates" certification. He emphasised that this agreement adds new products to IKTIFA's portfolio, providing various types of pasta and other potential products through the Emirates Macaroni Factory.

A Historic milestone

Ahmed Saeed Belyouha remarked that this agreement is a significant point in the journey of the Emirates Macaroni Factory, allowing it to be part of IKTIFA's noble mission. He highlighted that a key principle in the industry is the production and supply phase, affirming the adage "from farm to table." Today, they witness a comprehensive model of Emirati industry enhancing the food, beverage, and local agriculture sectors. Belyouha expressed hope for continued collaboration and the introduction of more organic food products in the future to meet public needs.
